Building Technology Products in Saudi Arabia
What is different about shipping digital products in KSA: market, vendors, bilingual UX, and leadership on the ground in Riyadh.

The market is not a copy of the Valley
Saudi products often combine growth pressure, bilingual users, local payment and identity expectations, and vendors already in the GCC. A stack decision that ignores hiring in Riyadh or Dubai is a delayed incident.
Leadership on the ground
Remote execution can work. Executive technology decisions still need someone who can sit with a founder or operator in Riyadh, understand NEOM-scale or FinTech constraints, and not import a playbook that does not fit.
Practical sequencing
Ship the workflow the customer pays for. Integrate payments and identity with local reality. Treat Arabic and English as part of the product from the start instead of leaving them to translation at the end. Park the rest.
Who this is for
Saudi startups, SMEs, and digital businesses that need a technical owner and not only an offshore team. That's the core of the work I do from Riyadh.
