Government / mega project

NEOM digital platforms

Frontend team leadership on government-scale digital products inside Saudi Arabia’s NEOM programme.

Problem

High-complexity product requirements had to become reliable React and React Native software on a mega-project timeline, with multiple stakeholders and a mixed codebase.

Challenge

Scale, documentation, and consistency mattered as much as features. Legacy frontend code and new work had to coexist without slowing the team.

Role

Team Lead, Frontend Engineering. I owned planning, architecture direction, documentation, and delivery cadence.

Solution / Strategy

Translate requirements into a buildable sequence, introduce review standards, and modernize the parts of the stack that blocked delivery rather than rewriting everything at once.

Architecture

Scalable React / React Native structure, clearer engineering documentation, and workflows that made reviews and ownership visible.

How it was delivered

Led a frontend team through planning, architecture decisions, performance-critical features, and modernization of legacy frontend code.

Result

A stronger delivery cadence and a more maintainable frontend estate. Programme-level outcomes belong to NEOM; the engineering contribution was leadership and execution under those constraints.
